Rügen

The white chalk cliffs on the edge of Jasmund Nationalpark on Rügen, Germany's largest island, are a sight to behold. Especially during a beautiful sunrise like this. It was nothing short of mesmerising to be a witness of this moment. On my own, no less. If you haven't visited this gem in the Baltic sea yet, you really should.

#1jour1souvenir visite de la superbe exposition de l'artiste Shigeko Hirakawa au domaine de Trévarez, le 15 avril 2014. En fait, il y avait deux expositions "Eau en boule" et "Empreinte sur l'eau" https://www.ouest-france.fr/bretagne/chateauneuf-du-faou-29520/shigeko-hirakawa-artiste-engagee-trevarez-2214684

Photo en couleur a dominante verte, présentant alignement de sphère de verre remplies d'eau positionnée à la surface d'un bassin, très calme. L'eau du bassin et celle contenue dans les sphère a été teintée en vert. Dans les sphère, on peut voir le reflet d'un château situé derrière le photographe.

DE: Nächtliche Langzeitbelichtung einer befahrenden Autobahn. Sie füllt etwa das untere Drittel des Bildes aus. Sie ist zu beiden Seiten im Grün eingebettet; vereinzelt sind Bäume zu sehen. Auffällig ist ein Transporter auf der linken Seite, der im Bild zwar auf dem Standstreifen steht, die Lichtspuren aber verraten, dass er wieder losfährt. Im oberen Bildteil sieht man neben einzelnen Sternen noch den Mond.
Am Horizont erahnt man einen (ausgedienten) Braunkohlebagger sowie Rauchschwaden eines (noch) aktiven Braunkohlekraftwerkes.

EN: Long exposure of a motorway at night. It fills about the lower third of the picture. It is embedded in greenery on both sides; trees can be seen occasionally. A van is conspicuous on the left-hand side, which is standing on the hard shoulder in the picture, but the traces of light reveal that it is driving off again. In the upper part of the picture you can see a few stars and the moon.
On the horizon you can see a (disused) lignite excavator and clouds

Yacht wreck.

A small yacht lays on it's side on the foreshore in the moonlight, the mast tilted heavily but intact. Water smoothed by a long exposure of 60 seconds.

Lens: Samyang 2/12mm. Image converted to black and white using high contrast ACROS+Red filter film simulation in DarkTable.

15/52 Behind the Curtain
On a photowalk with @marion4life I was very taken with this scene. The blur of the moss and stone created by the passing water, the shadow cast by the water on the wall and the warm light at the same time. I loved this calming moment.

The picture was taken on a sunny afternoon and shows a close-up of a gray-brown stone wall, the upper half of which is overgrown with green moss. Water flows down from above and forms a kind of water curtain in front of the wall, partially covering it. And so the picture is divided into three parts: On the left is the curtain of water, which reflects the sunlight on its surface. The moss and the wall appear completely blurred by the water. To the right, we see the shadow of the water curtain, which casts a broad dark stripe on the moss and the wall. The right-hand third part of the picture shows the moss and wall warmly illuminated by the sunlight.

Mt Palomar observatory. I used a DIY yellow filter to get good differentiation between the white domes and the sky, and it seems to have worked.
The interior picture was I think a 1min exposure. Box cameras are convenient for long exposures since the shape makes them easy to prop on things.

Bremen's top 4 in one shot: City Hall, Cathedral, Town Musicians and Roland.

The "Bremen City Hall" (German: Bremer Rathaus) is one of the most important examples of Brick Gothic and Weser Renaissance architecture in Europe. Along with the Bremen Roland statue, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The "Bremen Cathedral" (German: Bremer Dom or St. Petri Dom zu Bremen), named after St. Peter, is a church situated in the market square in the center of Bremen.

The "Town Musicians of Bremen" (German: Bremer Stadtmusikanten) is a bronze statue by Gerhard Marcks referencing the German fairy tale collected by the Brothers Grimm and published in Grimms' Fairy Tales.
