AndyI’ve randomly bought these on eBay. They are Feuerhand Model 275 Baby Lanterns. They just caught my eye and think they look gorgeous. Can’t wait to get hold of them to see if I can date them. The glass says ‘Made in W. Germany’ so sometime after 1949.Three things have come to mind with them:1. Sympathetic restoration i.e. a bit of a tidy up. 2. Full restoration including a respray. 3. Wire in an LED bulb to combine old with new. I had to ask him to 'drop it' as I was on a date. He gave me that knowing look, but kept looking over at us. We left.I also got stopped in the street by some stranger who pronounced that I was Maker of Things, from Twitter, and he was some kind of fan. I think the most recent challenging make was my stardew valley wizard tower miniature, it ended up taking a year to make due to needing to order bits and bobs as I worked along. I made giant papier mache seeds of various species for the Tatton Flower Show, which were fun!

I can be quite shy about talking about my making and so actually doing an exhibition is a bit of a scary thought. <a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/No52" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#No52</a> is also attached to the wall (there was some subsidence now settled as a surveyor would say) and so it wouldn’t be at all easy to transport to an exhibition. But I did a little room box which is on display in my own house and I would very happily do more of those. <a href="https://sunny.garden/tags/RoomBox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#RoomBox</a>

Maybe the most famous in a very limited way is Paul Beech from Pimoroni, someone told me who it was I was explaining a basic electronic circuit debug to after and I felt a bit embarrassed about that! 😂 I dunno if Dr Karl** in Australia counts... perhaps he "thinks" rather than "makes", but there is a similar vibe. But that's cheating too as I used to walk past his office in the physics building regularly anyway, he was part of the furniture.Anyone I particularly want to meet?
