Wir beleuchten Sexismus, toxische Männlichkeit und Queerfeindlichkeit in Games – und zeigen, wie Spiele auch Empowern und Vielfalt fördern können.
Es gibt Workshops, Diskussionen und Praxisideen für mehr Geschlechtergerechtigkeit im Gaming.

Für alle, die Games reflektiert in der Jugendarbeit einsetzen möchten.

Videospiele sind ein Spiegel gesellschaftlicher Normen – und beeinflussen, wie wir über Geschlecht, Macht und Zugehörigkeit denken. Diese Bildungsveranstaltung richtet sich an Jugendarbeiter*innen, die sich mit Gaming aus einer Genderperspektive auseinandersetzen möchten. Im Fokus stehen Fragen wie: Wie werden Geschlechterrollen in Games dargestellt? Was bedeutet toxische Männlichkeit – und wie prägt sie Spielkulturen? Warum sind sexistische und queerfeindliche Strukturen im Gaming so verbreitet? Wir analysieren männlich dominierte Charakterbilder, übersexualisierte Darstellungen von Frauen und ausgrenzende Spielumgebungen. Gleichzeitig werfen wir einen Blick auf Games, die Geschlechtervielfalt sichtbar machen und positive Narrative fördern. Ziel ist es, ein kritisches Bewusstsein zu schaffen – und konkrete Werkzeuge für die Praxis zu bieten. In Workshops, Diskussionen und Spielanalysen erarbeiten wir gemeinsam Wege, wie Gaming in der Jugendarbeit bewusst und geschlechtergerecht eingesetzt werden kann. Eine Veranstaltung in Kooperation mit der WIENXTRA-Spielebox und dem Institut für Freizeitpädagogik (IFP).
