Feel free to skip this toot…

I am finally getting down to business (other than unpacking, cleaning, chasing up awaited deliveries and sorting out delivery issues with various shops) and this new dwelling is finally ‘feeling’ like my abode and no one else’s.

I have a tonne of good #habits to get back into, like daily #callisthenics, #walk/jog, #TaiChi, #meditation, #martial arts training (including study), music (#Guitar - poor thing has been lonely for so long), riding my #motorbike, and #cooking (the healthy kind). So much to get on with and to enjoy. And let’s not forget: Picking UP my #writing (RayPierreLeonard.wordpress.com) - that’s also been held in abeyance for far too long.

Today I restarted callisthenics, later I will have time to do some TaiChi. With so many things I wish to do, I am tempted to set up a weekly plan so as not to get lazy (or too busy) again… I don’t know. I’ll see how I go for a while.

Anyways enjoy your day folks, it’s never going to come around again.

Thank you! that's a really thoughtful post. To me, it really drives home @LukaszOlejnik 's excellent observation about the #GenevaConventions.

Humanity's striving to respect the #RightToLife of non-combatants has been observed to occur both as a religious (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic) and martial (cilj.co.uk/2020/08/30/sun-tzus) principle, but was only really codified into law by Lieber in #America 's #CivilWar (avalon.law.yale.edu/19th_centu) and took longer still to be brought into widespread #InternationalLaw (un.org/en/genocideprevention/d)

I realise that's longwinded, but that #respect for life I describe the "world" as having - even in #war - is as fragile as it is important, and it's formal adoption is still being kindled, being fanned into the torch that we all hope will light our way forever. I hope such careful posts as yours will continue to galvanise to action those who want a pathway toward #non-combatants not being killed en-mass to achieve paltry, indecisive #martial objectives.
