#Palestine / With over 140 Palestinian journalists killed in Gaza, the IFJ demands investigation
Since the start of the war in Gaza on October 7, 2024, at least 142 Palestinian journalists and media workers have been killed in Israeli attacks, with many more injured or missing. The International Federation of Journalists (#IFJ) and the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (#PJS) strongly condemn these attacks, calling for an immediate investigation.
The IFJ also urges journalists on the ground to prioritize their safety, emphasizing that no story is worth a life.

*October 7:* The war in Gaza begins. Among those killed on this day or shortly thereafter are: Mohammad Al-Salhi (Fourth Authority), Ibrahim Lafi (Ain Media), Mohammad Jarghoun (Smart Media).
*October 10:* Three journalists are killed in an airstrike near Gaza City's fishing port: Said Al-Tawil (Al-Khamisa), Mohammed Sobboh (Khabar), and Hisham Al-Nawahjh (Khabar).
*October 13:* Hossam Mubarak (Al Aqsa TV) is killed.
*October 27:* Saed Radwan, Hamza Abu Salmiya, and Haneen Mahmoud Baroud, all killed in an airstrike.
