Did you know that #cats have been strolling over freshly done building sites since forever?

Picture 1: shows an #Ancient #Roman roof tile from ~100 AD found in Gloucester in 1969. Cat prints, unlike human & dog prints, are fairly rare from this period.

Picture 2: shows a #medieval (~12th c.) floor tile from St. Peter's church in Wormleighton with little cat prints on it.

European folklore claimed that "cynocephaly" (dog-headed people) inhabited far-off lands. They were frequently depicted as aggressive and violent, barking and howling. However, a few cynocephaly became Christian. Most famously, St. Christopher was sometimes depicted as a cynocephalus.
