A guy in a red Prius pulls up behind me.</p><p>Guy: Excuse me!</p><p>Me: Uh--yeah?</p><p>Guy (gestures at all the cars): What's the occasion?</p><p>Me: Oh, there's a race. A 5k.</p><p>(beat)</p><p>Guy: Great! </p><p>And he leaves. Clothwright<p>Not sure what to do about gardening this year. I'm half tempted to skip it because I'm overwhelmed with other stuff and I think I've compromised the soil in my raised beds; I've had disease problems the past couple years. </p><p>That aside-- spent a couple hours outdoors turning things over, pruning herbs, getting rid of dead leaves, covering some stuff in black plastic to bake.
