Of course, the consumption of water can and must be viewed critically. But do we think critically about watering our lawn, for example? Or how much water is necessary so we can be eating strawberries in winter? Or much water (and land) is necessary to produce meat?

I do not know whether current AI research will really lead to super-Intelligent AIs in 10 years or so. There is a probability >0 that it will.

And if it will, this will change a lot. And the countries who have no such AIs will depend on the countries that do, in a hard way, much harder than fossile fuels today. And the only AI that is halfway state of the art that we have in Europe is #Mistral. The EU should massively invest here, and not allow sell-out.
