Well actually YouTube is trying to prevent such tools to work but then patches come out shortly after to counter that.

You can also try #freetube on desktop that does the same thing as #newpipe.

@xChaos svého času jsem zkoušel vkládat odkazy na #invidious abych obešel jutub, ale ten je tak nějak v troskách, s poslední funkční instancí, a jsem rád, pokud vůbec přes něj jde jutub občas spustit. Zajímavé, že #newpipe zlvádá zatím boj s jutub obranou lépe

Capy Reader v2025.03.1112-dev introduces better parsing for YouTube for local accounts. This utilizes the presence of the "yt:videoId" and "media:description" Atom tags in YouTube feeds.

I don't plan on extending YouTube parsing too much further, so if you're looking for a fully-fledged video player, I'd still recommend NewPipe.
