It was an economical way to get out-of-print classics. Now, Craft Recordings is slowly releasing the catalog as a fairly premium audiophile product - remastered by Kevin Gray on 180 g - with a price of $39. Records in 1985 cost about $7-$10. An inflation calculator tells me that's $19.85-$28.36 in today's dollars. This was a conspicuous gap in my Miles at Prestige collection. On a first listen, with no other version with which to compare, it sounds plenty good: clean, dynamic, & rich. The jacket is light card, but the price was bang on.
