This is an equivalent to £16,250,920 of the OU’s known investments. As staff, students, alumni and supporters of The Open University, we believe such investments are incompatible with the institution's mission to promote social justice. Join us and call on The Open University to divest from Israel and the arms industry. Please sign our petition and promote our campaign. today is #NationalDayOfActionForPalestine. as a student i am taking part in a phone blockade against the #OpenUniversity today to confront them with their complicity in #GazaGenocide by partnering with #BAEsystems in particular but also #Microsoft #Google #Alphabet, and #CISCO.
Their immoral conduct makes me and fellow students & staff involuntarily complicit in #WarCrimes and #genocide.

There are developer #jobs in the team I work in. It's a very good place to work (work-life balance etc) and as well as #OpenUniversity code, you sometimes get to contribute to the #OpenSource #Moodle product, which is used by like a zillion students worldwide.

Hybrid in #MiltonKeynes, UK, but if you prefer home working then you only have to come to the office about once a month.

I'm still setting up my profile but here's a brief #introduction.

I've been using #Linux for over seven years now and have come to love both the #OpenSource and #UNIX design philosophies. I use OS apps where I can, though I'm pragmatic about it (there are a few closed apps I use).

Outside of this I'm a student with the #OpenUniversity, a writer, researcher and avid reader!

I also live in the #WestCountry! 🙂
