Les trajets sont longuets mais je ne regrette pas de redécouvrir les petites villes de notre plat pays (enfin pas si plat que ça!). Si vous aimez les antiquités, vous êtes à la bonne adresse dans la petite ville de Tongeren (Tongres), il y a plusieurs magasins d'antiquités et chaque dimanche a lieu un marché aux puce entre 7 h 30 et 13 h 30. En outre, la ville est une des trois villes les plus anciennes de Belgique avec Arlon et Tournai. Ici, on pourra voir des vestiges des murs romains datant du IIe siècle et des murs du moyen-âge construits en partie avec les matériaux des murs romains. La ville compte pas moins de quatre musées : le musée gallo-romain, le double musée Teseum à la basilique et l'ancien couvent adjacent et le musée du béguinage. La tour de la basilique est également accessible.
