NWS State College PA

NEAR TERM

Large scale subsidence in the wake of an exiting upper low off of the Delmarva Peninsula is resulting in dry weather this early Sunday morning. However, low level instability resulting from cold air aloft continues to produce stratocu across much of Central PA.

Ridging building into PA will provide the region with dry and seasonable weather later today. Model RH timesections support a good deal of morning stratocu across the Alleghenies. However, expect brightening skies everywhere this afternoon. Ens mean 850mb between 1C and 2C supports highs in the 55-60F range for most of the forecast area.
