Profoundly Nerdy<p>Is there a good guide for porting various old school dialects of BASIC to FreeBASIC or at least QBASIC for which it has a compatibility mode?</p><p>I'm trying to port some old HP 2000 Timeshare BASIC and some Applesoft BASIC to FreeBASIC and I'm hitting road blocks. Begasus<p>Update on haikuports</p><p>Iceweasel got a unofficial port and opens up a new web experience for Haiku.</p><p>KDE frameworks KF6 6.9.0 have been released to the Haiku public. Gear24 updates in progress.</p><p>Some packages got a revision bump to fix linking/building with ssl3.</p><p>One of our Haiku users is fixing tokio-rust for Haiku. Che dire… fino all’altro ieri se ci giocavo non mi veniva nemmeno un pochino in mente che fosse così <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://octospacc.altervista.org/tag/retro/" target="_blank">#retro</a>. 👾</p><p>Ma è appena 11 anni più vecchio di me, quindi mi sa che poco ci manca e pure io divento retrò… ma allo stesso tempo irrilevante, a differenza di questo e altri giochi che saranno ricordati per l’eternità. 😥</p><p>La riproposizione per <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://octospacc.altervista.org/tag/gba/" target="_blank">#GBA</a>, che per l’#anniversario della <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://octospacc.altervista.org/tag/saga/" target="_blank">#saga</a> oggi ho messo sulla <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://octospacc.altervista.org/tag/salamuseogames/" target="_blank">#SalaMuseoGames</a>, è un po’ meno vecchia, ma a tratti più impressionante della versione originale per <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://octospacc.altervista.org/tag/dos/" target="_blank">#DOS</a>: è tipo l’unico <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://octospacc.altervista.org/tag/porting/" target="_blank">#porting</a> di Doom uscito decente per una console che di potenza ne aveva scarsa (altri, tipo quello per <a rel="nofollow noopener" class="hashtag u-tag u-category" href="https://octospacc.altervista.org/tag/ps1/" target="_blank">#PS1</a>, sono stati invece ottimi soprattutto grazie all’hardware bono), senza castrazioni molto pesanti in contenuto, grafica, o gameplay (framerate incluso). La colonna sonora è un po’ diversa perché… boh? Ma è bello comunque.
