OsvaldoAt Pancake Rocks on the West Coast. The original Māori name for the area is Punakairi or Punangari depending on dialect, however when it was transcribed by a European the cursive writing of the R was mistaken for a K, leading the common name to be incorrect after published in maps and news articles. <br>

This is a great place to stop for a walk, (costly) museum trip, and to see some amazing rock formations.<br>
