Logan 5 and 999 others<p>I must have been doing too much because my plantar fasciitis came back. I’ve had to pull back on the running and double down on stretches. I’m pretty bummed since this was an outlet for stress relief for me, and I was getting faster.</p><p><a href="https://beige.party/tags/running" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>running</span></a> <br><a href="https://beige.party/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a></p>

Stuart :progress_pride:<p>Glad to have taken a few more seconds off this year's PB* at <a href="https://mastodon.me.uk/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a></p><p>*not an all time PB because I'm nowhere near that</p>
RHD<p>A really sociable <a href="https://toot.wales/tags/Parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Parkrun</span></a> this morning back at the local. Lots of friends volunteering or running. One friend was doing a parkrun ‘hendicap’ as part of her hen do, and another friend was practising juggling whilst walking, with a view to running and juggling in the future 🫣 </p><p>Oh and Derek the Weather, off the telly, was there too (not in pics).</p><p>It’s Llanishen Park Parkrun’s 3rd birthday next week - why not come along? ❤️ 🌳 🎂 <br><a href="https://toot.wales/tags/community" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>community</span></a> <a href="https://toot.wales/tags/GetOutside" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GetOutside</span></a></p>
Ben<p><a href="https://beige.party/tags/ParkRun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ParkRun</span></a> 93 walked! And we walked there and back for an 11k start to the day. Gorgeous setting at Bethlem. I couldn't be bothered to get my phone out and take pictures but imagine verdant greens, huge majestic old trees, tall grass and wildflowers. It was magical AF. Whilst I don't get quite the same thing from walking, it was welcome exercise and my tendonitis seems to have held up so I'm actually still considering doing the 10k on Wednesday. Waffle waffle. <a href="https://beige.party/tags/running" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>running</span></a></p><p>Whatever you are doing, wherever, whyever, whomever...... I bid you well my friends. May the warm glow of Mother Gaia alight in your bosoms or some shit. ❤️</p><p>HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND YOU FLIPPIN' LEGENDS!</p>
Abizer Nasir<p>“Abizer, your time in position 239 today at Charlton <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> was 41:58. Well done on your 1st parkrun here! “</p><p>And so ends my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/running" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>running</span></a> commentary for the day</p>
Jen Fizzbuzz<p>Broke my 5km pb at <a href="https://cultofshiv.wtf/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> today, it's stood since April 2022. Beaten it by a good 20 seconds as well. Each time I got sub-30 previously I'd get ill and lose my my fitness.</p><p>It wasn't quite sub-24, I couldn't keep up with the 24 minute pacer and I talked to the 25 minute pacer at the start and he encouraged me at the end to pick up the pace which was needed.</p><p>Hopefully got a stopwatch bingo, just waiting for official results.</p>
Tom Hayward<p>My 60th <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> done!</p><p>Have been trying for the last few weeks to break 21:00. Inevitably went off too fast, blew up, and slowed down. Was hoping to pace it better today.</p><p>Today was hot, but the legs felt good today and I made it!<br>20:48 🎉</p><p>Followed by a cooldown run with the gang and some 0% (flavoured) cold beers that I'd taken with me.</p><p>A good day so far :)<br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/runnersofmastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>runnersofmastodon</span></a></p>
Abizer Nasir<p>Ran / walked <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a>. 42 min. Maybe I don’t need c25k. It’s been 5 1/2 years since my last one. Time flies.</p>
Roasting House Coffee<p>It’s not the heat it’s the humidity.</p><p>Today’s <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Rotherham" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Rotherham</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> more difficult than most.</p><p>Perfect excuse to make some <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/coldbrew" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>coldbrew</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/coffee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>coffee</span></a> when I get to work.</p>
Panda<p>The <a href="https://freiburg.social/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> world is small. Met a friend of <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://piaille.fr/@cpamoa" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>cpamoa</span></a></span> at Hamburg today.<br>Could you maybe sent me the photo your friend sent you? :)</p>
Derek Barry<p>Loved doing Wes Mitchel Park <a href="https://aus.social/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> in Tin Can Bay and after my 24.35 I took over as finish token hander outerer for vollie credit 40. It was my 113th course and 284th parkrun. I took train up from BNE to Gympie then cycled 55km to lovely TCB, stayed the night, now heading home, a bit exhausted</p>
Stephen Darlington<p>It’s Friday the 13th, so you know what that means?</p><p>Nothing special. The weekend is nearly here. Almost <a href="https://mas.to/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a>. </p><p>Anyway, no superstitious nonsense. It’s just a day and a date.</p>
Simon Wolf<p>I completed the Couch to 5K plan last week but with running for 30 minutes continuously. This evening I finally achieved a full 5K and managed it in just under a 35 minute pace. <a href="https://social.sgawolf.com/tags/Parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Parkrun</span></a> this Saturday hopefully.</p>
Derek Barry<p>On a cool morning I cycled 6km and did the 25 min pacer at Chermside <a href="https://aus.social/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> yesterday for run 283 and vollie no 39. Time 24.45 so I’d argue a successful assignment!</p>
Ed Chivers<p>Forgot to mention <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> yesterday - the usual 3 lap course, got around in 35½ minutes.</p><p>The 2nd and 3rd laps felt really different from each other - I'm a run/walk parkrunner, never manage to run the whole thing, and lap 3 was more walking. Felt really frustrating, but somehow both 2nd and 3rd laps took the same amount of time, about 12 minutes each. Guess the running on 3 must have been faster to compensate 🤷</p><p>Still, I look a lot happier in the photos this week.</p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/running" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>running</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/runnersOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>runnersOfMastodon</span></a></p>
Logan 5 and 999 others<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mountains.social/@Dave3307" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>Dave3307</span></a></span> I'm at the opposite end. They have an 8am start time, and the added 1/2 drive makes it a little hard for me to get there on a Saturday morning. But I'm interested in meeting the community and I honestly haven't raced a 5k in a while. I think my speed has been picking up from all my training.<br><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://beige.party/@TheBreadmonkey" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>TheBreadmonkey</span></a></span> also makes his <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Parkrun</span></a> always seem fun.</p>
Logan 5 and 999 others<p>The good news: I got a 6 mile run in today and survived. I've slowly been increasing my mileage weekly.</p><p>The bad news: I stupidly did this at the hottest time of day. Totally beat. </p><p>The other good news: Someone has started a <a href="https://beige.party/tags/parkrun" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>parkrun</span></a> near me! Well, kind of near me. Close enough! It's like 25 minutes away. I've signed up and will be trying them out in the future. It should be nice. I don't really like running alone anymore and look forward to running with others on Saturday. </p><p><a href="https://beige.party/tags/running" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>running</span></a></p>
