Had a great meal last night at Mockingbird. What especially struck me though was this wonderful old #Pepsi sign. They found it behind a wall when they were converting the building for use as a restaurant.

arpton calls on PepsiCo to restore DEI initiatives, threatens boycott

The Rev. Al Sharpton is giving PepsiCo three weeks to meet with him — or suffer a boycott — to discuss reversing the company’s recent move to do away with its diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, according to a letter shared with The Associated Press.

70% of the world's gum arabic which is a key ingredient in soft drinks and confectionery comes from #Sudan. Suppliers are being looted, extorted or having fees for export imposed by armed groups in the genocidal war in the country. Major corporations like #CocaCola #Pepsi #nestle and #Mars are implicated by acquiring these products.

Shame on you Safeway for deceptive sale prices!

Figi water at Safeway right now shows it's $6.99... but if you read the exceptionally tiny print below the price tag, it says you also have to buy a certain brand of pistachio nuts to get the deal. Otherwise you're likely getting charged $9.49.

Now Safeway normally runs a "deal" on Figi water every other month or so for $6.99, otherwise you pay $9.49 (although it has gone higher at $9.99)

The true price of the product is around $7

Lucky's sells Figi water normally for $6.99 and Target $7.99, although both have had sales discounting it further.

It's never truly on sale at Safeway. It's just overpriced and they make you jump through hoops sometimes to make you feel like you achieved a deal, when they're simply giving you the actual price.

This multi-combination buy is just shameful.

They do the same with Pepsi and Coke products.

This is why I avoid buying beverages at Safeway.

#McDonald's, #KFC, etc, #Coca-Cola #Pepsi. Of is dat te lastig?

We schijnen vooral veel Amerikaans gas te importeren. Gaan we eindelijk als een malle de #huurhuizen #isoleren? Ook dat zal de lasten in eerste instantie verhogen.

Stuck in my head inaccurately, it seems!

'There first advertising campaign in 1936 featured the jingle, “Pepsi-Cola hits the spot / Twelve full ounces, that's a lot / Twice as much for a nickel, too / Pepsi-Cola is the drink for you.” This jingle referred to competitor Coca-Cola's 6.5 ounce bottles.'
