I don't know that it's ever necessary to see 34 million #gil, honestly. I wish the #Pinky mount felt more accessible, but it requires you to run a thousand maps with great #RNG to get three bottles of some exciting juice that you can either turn in for a cute mount or sell for five to six million gil.

And given how important money is sometimes, given that it's what gets you into housing, etc... Most people are right to sell theirs rather than turn them in.

The more I think about it, the more the problems with money that exist in the real world become clear in #FFXIV. You can make very little money without capital, and earning capital is a combination of luck, hard work, and patience. Emphasis on the luck.

So, it turns out I have the same issues with capitalism #IRL that I do with capitalism in FFXIV.

Kind of related: in my RP, #Joan became wealthy by hard work, patience, luck, and extortion. That last one is how she made the majority of her gil. Also, she never had to pay her first investor back because he was a supervillain and got killed in the process of completing his grand plan.

I'll tell that extortion story some other day, but it fits with how most people get wealthy IRL, I'm gonna be honest.

P.S. Am I overthinking this? Probably, but that's just the kind of person that I am. ​
