It's been almost two weeks now that Michigan has been first for customers without power.
Thousands of customers in northern Lower Peninsula are still without power from the ice storms that came through March 28-30.
According to PowerOutage.us, Michigan continues as the US state with the most customers without power.
As of 8:32am Eastern Daylight Time today, 99,448 customers in Michigan are without power.
That's compared to 159,530 Michigan customers who didn't have power last night.
Today's storms aren't going to make it easy for power restoration. I feel for the crews working on restoring power.

The big (180) Bluetti has been running the fridge for 2.5 hours is down to 75% power, which seems pretty good. We’ll switch it to the freezer here at about 11:30 I think, and give that 2 hours to bring the temp down. It recharges to 85% in 45 minutes, so after that I’m going to go beg an outlet from my neighbor with the whole house generator.
Pretty happy to have these batteries right now.

The lights in our house have all been flickering now for over 24 hours. Calls to the power company have been largely ineffective in getting any here to help. There’s a loud buzz at a nearby pole that seems plausible as the problem. We’re stuck with variable voltage and flickering lights for now.
