« La veillée » et « La capture » sont deux dessins imprimés sur presse à rouleaux avec du papier artisanal. Tirage réalisé avec Sacrés Caractères à l'Atelier Garage à Lyon

18 x 24 cm, édité à 25 exemplaires chacun.
Ces deux tirages sont disponibles dans ma boutique.

Just a few more finishing touches to go for my next riso print. Should have these up for grabs at some art markets in the not too distant future.

Also have a new never before printed color variant of my radio telescopes riso print... Will have some pics of that soon. They turned out really nice.

The Frog Prince.

This is one of my very favorite pieces. I love it so much that I started to sell it as my very very first print ever. It was because of this image that I took the plunge and started offering limited edition, numbered and signed prints of some of my pieces.

I think this one looks great in a large scale and nicely framed, and because I print it at home on my high-end printer, and don’t offer a myriad of different sizes and ratios, I know exactly what it looks like. I can control it. And this piece looks AWEsome in a Tabloid size/11x17” scale. So much glorious detail!

I’ve been told that it’s very “old school” to offer prints in only one size. Well, so be it. I print them on my own printer, and sign & number them so, yeah, I guess that’s the old-fashioned way of doing things. I’ll only ever print 30 of these, so I’m okay with that.

But it’s also available as a greeting card here: https://goimagine.com/the-frog-prince-11x17-limited-edition-print/

And as part of a Fairy Tale variety pack here: https://goimagine.com/art-nouveau-fairytale-variety-pack-greeting-cards-2-5x7-with-envelopes/

I made this using Procreate. I don’t use generative image “assistance” at all. Here’s the speedpaint: https://makertube.net/w/tJQWn6b8gtHF8D3hphAK7W

MSFT is publishing a print mag! Aligns with my prediction that we'll see more print publishing as slop drowns the internet. Print requires $$$ and that will act as a gate.

>> We’re betting that slow media—delivered from a trusted place—can still cut through the noise😊

h/t to @mako for the initial share.

First time trying risoprint for a photo (originally taken on film).

I don't know, I didn't love the process — mainly because it was very digital. I'm also not infatuated with the result.

The thing is, you prep your image on the computer, adding more screen time to your day and knowing what will come out of the printer. Which felt kinda... boring?

(What didn't help was that I brought Affinity to a Photoshop based workshop, lol. I was struggling — literally on Reddit half the time to find workarounds.)

I can imagine returning to riso if I ever want to create posters with photography and text/typography.

But I guess riso isn't my medium — I missed the mystery of the darkroom. 🩶

What does it take to run a newspaper group these days? This CEO says more journalists. But he's also using AI. This is a great chat about the future of media and it's optimistic about print, about advertising, about journalism. Imagine that. Available wherever you listen to podcasts.
