I can't help but wonder if there wasn't a #CostOfLiving #crisis, fears over precarious #employment and we had well funded #public services - #Schools , #SocialCare , #Transport etc a lot more people wouldn't give two shits about how many #immigrants they saw in town or even where coming over via boats, or whether they have correct documentation to be here

I'm aware of a core of people who have always been racist/bigoted, but they can often be worn down by sheer force of numbers and as they get older and dependent on carers (who are very often black/brown) they tend to change their tune quicker than younger folk - and even the youth tend to avoid overt bigotry when their friend circle and subcultures they are involved in are #multicultural ...

@bones0 don't get me wrong, just collectively #thinking loud, the #alternative a #China #dictatorship is also no #alternative, but actually #China played it's card very well, extracting all #knowhow from #greedy #western #companies of #democracy countries, copying them, doing the same cheaper, winning #competition game (#greed -> #stupidity = bad)

imho #key is in how #money is created and what is then used for
