effikaI give myself 3 chances to fix a seam when I piece quilt blocks. After that, I move on. NúriaI can’t seem to cut squares or rectangles of fabric, there’s always a pretty irregular spot that makes matching the edges impossible. This makes it difficult to get neat topstitching on things I’d like to have pretty straight, like straps, or bag edges. Would a metal L ruler to cut with a rotary cutter help? JulieBoring! Putting the hanging sleeves on the quilts for the upcoming quilt show. It's frustrating because the quilts in the show are pinned, not hung from a rod. But a hanging sleeve is still required. I made these using scraps from sewing projects, from remainders of others' projects, and even from older clothes where part of the fabric was in good conditionThe center is a corduroy and silk pattern with actual quilting and the rest is just tied. I had so much fun finding a wide variety of textures to touch.
