cybergoths<p>So, my most memorable encounter. This was initially quite hard to think of, but then I remembered a meeting in <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TheOneRing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TheOneRing</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a> when we played through the Darkening of Mirkwood. cybergoths<p>The <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a> session that gave me the biggest fright still remains the same, but the game that has given me a rising feeling of terror and fear is different. cybergoths<p>It’s only taken ten years, but the <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a> I’d most like a new edition of is getting very close to release. The funny thing is that my answer is pretty much the same as a decade ago. Entry 27 in my attempt to close out <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RPGaDay2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPGaDay2023</span></a>. </p><p><a href="https://delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/2023/08/rpgaday2023-27-game-youd-like-new.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/202</span><span class="invisible">3/08/rpgaday2023-27-game-youd-like-new.html</span></a></p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/blueplanet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>blueplanet</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/recontact" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>recontact</span></a></p>
cybergoths<p>I decided to muse a bit on VTT character sheets for <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ttrpgs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpgs</span></a> in the catch up for day 26 of <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RPGaDay2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPGaDay2023</span></a>. Specifically, the <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RoleVTT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RoleVTT</span></a> stands out for me.</p><p><a href="https://delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/2023/08/rpgaday2023-26-favourite-character-sheet.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/202</span><span class="invisible">3/08/rpgaday2023-26-favourite-character-sheet.html</span></a></p>
cybergoths<p>The Unplayed RPG entry for my <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RPGaDay2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPGaDay2023</span></a> catch up is a list of shame. I have too many games that haven’t got to the table; the thing is, I enjoy reading and exploring <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ttrpgs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpgs</span></a> as well as playing them, and time is somewhat lacking!</p><p><a href="https://delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/2023/08/rpgaday2023-25-unplayed-rpg.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/202</span><span class="invisible">3/08/rpgaday2023-25-unplayed-rpg.html</span></a></p>
cybergoths<p>The latest instalment in my ‘catch up with <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RPGaDay2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPGaDay2023</span></a>’ series. This time I’m talking complexity and simplicity in <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ttrpgs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpgs</span></a>. However, as the question limits this to games that I am or would likely play (or run), the pool to choose from is somewhat reduced…</p><p><a href="https://delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/2023/08/rpgaday2023-24-most-complicatedsimple.html" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">delta-pavonis.blogspot.com/202</span><span class="invisible">3/08/rpgaday2023-24-most-complicatedsimple.html</span></a></p>

Tissek<p>31. FAVORITE RPG of all time</p><p>It is a tossup between Burning Wheel and Ironsworn. Both puts responsibility in the players' hands to actively shape the narrative through their beliefs/vows. Also both systems are clear on the outcome space from tests, task+intent/move results. </p><p>Buuuuut Ironsworn is slowly winning over time. It just runs smoother. So IRONSWORN if one, and only one, has to be named.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.nu/tags/RPGaDay2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPGaDay2023</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nu/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.nu/tags/challengefinished" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>challengefinished</span></a></p>

Eric D Hausherr<p>Day 31: FAVORITE</p><p>In 1990/91 I was a sophomore in high school and my friend Adam called me out of the blue. He and a couple of guys were getting a <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/DnD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DnD</span></a> game together. I was in.</p><p>We played an <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ADnD2e" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ADnD2e</span></a> campaign and those memories are why I'm wrapping up <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RPGaDay2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPGaDay2023</span></a> with it. My first real DnD group.</p><p>I moved halfway thru high school, made new gaming friends. We played Dark Sun, Planescape, Dragon Mountain, Undermountain, Spelljammer. </p><p>It was the first <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a> I ever ran and designed for. Keith Ammann<p>31. Favorite RPG of all time: I feel like I already answered this one back on question 18, but I suppose there is a subtle distinction to be made between "favorite RPG" and "favorite game system." One might love a game even though its system is imperfect, or find a system extremely impressive but have no special love for the game that uses it. Personally, though, I haven't thought about it that deeply. D&amp;D 5E it remains. <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RPGaDay2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPGaDay2023</span></a></p>
Digital Mark λ ☕️ 🕹 🙄<p>31. FAVOURITE[SIC] RPG of all time.</p><p>Much like your first kiss, first lay, those early games cast a big shadow. So Holmes' "Dungeons &amp; Dragons Basic Set", Gamma World 1st Ed, T&amp;T, Fighting Fantasy, Palladium Fantasy, Stormbringer 1E, Call of Cthulhu are all contenders.</p><p>And probably what I've had most fun with is Tunnels &amp; Trolls. If I was taking one game with me, it'd likely be T&amp;T (but which ed‽ Maybe just City of Terrors gamebook).</p><p><a href="https://appdot.net/tags/rpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rpg</span></a> <a href="https://appdot.net/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a> <a href="https://appdot.net/tags/rpgaday2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rpgaday2023</span></a></p>

I may not play it actively right now. But it was my first RPG Love and will probably be for days to come: <a href="https://rollenspiel.social/tags/earthdawnforeverbaby" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>earthdawnforeverbaby</span></a></p>

I take great pleasure in imagining the possibilities and specifics in advance, whether the game is completely new to me or I just hadn't played it in a while.</p><p><a href="https://rollenspiel.social/tags/ttrpg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ttrpg</span></a></p>
Mike Ferdinando<p>31) Favorite <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TTRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TTRPG</span></a> of all time</p><p>Tough choice, but I'll have to go with Trophy Gold by <span class="h-card"><a href="https://dice.camp/@jesseross" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>jesseross</span></a></span> and published by <span class="h-card"><a href="https://bird.makeup/users/gauntletrpg" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>gauntletrpg</span></a></span> . </p><p>It's a dark fantasy RPG that uses story-game mechanics and an OSR approach to exploration. The press-your-luck dice mechanics mesh perfectly with the play experience. And the collaborative writers-room approach to the narrative constantly introduces new and unexpected story-beats. </p><p><a href="https://trophyrpg.com" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">trophyrpg.com</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/RPGaDAY2023" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RPGaDAY2023</span></a><br><a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TrophyGold" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TrophyGold</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/TrophyRPG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>TrophyRPG</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/OSR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OSR</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/NSR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NSR</span></a> <a href="https://dice.camp/tags/StoryGame" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>StoryGame</span></a></p>
