Chair of Transition Exmouth Nicky Nicholls described her vision for an eco-hub in the old toilet block to artist and friend Rosie Johnson, who helped to capture the possibilities in a series of beautiful illustrations like this one. The picture shows veg, flowers, trees and colourful information boards outside the red brick building, now clad in wood. An e-bike charging point is in the foreground and a zero waste café offers snacks through a hatch in the wall of the hub. A green water butt rests against the wall and there are solar panels and a small wind turbine on the roof. Several people are milling about and interacting with different parts of the centre. Arrows point to all this, plus an accessible toilet, wildlife habitats and a demo composter.
