Yvonne ‘looks undocumented’<p>I got a set of washable markers so my grandkids could draw on my windows. Yesterday I washed off an old drawing and invited my 8yo granddaughter to make something new for me. She chose to do tulips (yay! in February!)<br>She’s not particularly artsy, but this right here? TheArtyMummy<p>Some student work shared with permission from Monday Makings .. an art lesson with a focus on understanding tonal values and effective use of negative space. Using 'simple' subject matter helps the student to understand the play of light and the importance of using the full range of tonal values. We also discussed ways to translate a photographic subject to painting.
