Brevettato il Floppy Disk Drive da Dalziel, Nilson e Wartner.

Sviluppato da IBM nel 1967 per caricare microcodice sui System/370.
Il disco, progettato da David L. Noble, era da 8", 81.664 byte, 32 tracce.

Nel 1971 IBM lancia il drive 23FD (solo lettura).

Nel 1972 Memorex presenta il primo drive scrivente: modello 650.
Nel 1973 arriva il 33FD IBM.

I bought a 486 pc. My first since 1994~

Any recommendations for videos/articles into owning a 486 machine?
I have very little idea of how these old pcs work anymore. I remember there being many intricacies.

As for the pc itself, It’s similar to my very first pc.

I was too young to remember the exact model, but it was definitely a desktop form factor and had a 5,25“ disk drive like this one. 😄
