Mike<p>I was having an annoying issue with my Super Nintendo, N64, and Dreamcast with RGB over SCART where the TV would switch to 16:9. <br>Turns out that if there’s a voltage on pin 8 in the 5-8V range, it tells the TV to use 16:9. For some reason, both cables were wired to output 5V here. Weird. </p><p>Desoldering the connection fixed my problem! Now the TV correctly defaults to 4:3. </p><p><a href="https://mas.to/tags/RetroGaming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroGaming</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/RetroRGB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RetroRGB</span></a> <a href="https://mas.to/tags/SCART" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SCART</span></a></p>
