Reykjavik überrascht mit farbenfrohen Wandbildern, die zwischen den Häuserzeilen auftauchen. Die Motive reichen von abstrakten Formen bis zu gesellschaftskritischen Szenen und spiegeln oft die kreative Energie der Stadt wider. Viele Werke entstehen im Rahmen von Festivals oder als spontane Projekte lokaler Künstler*innen. We'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary in Iceland and I've been trying to pick a decent but probably not Michelin-star restaurant in Reykjavik to have our anniversary dinner—any recommendations? Preferably some place that doesn't serve whale meat. We don't drink alcohol so no need to worry about wine selection and such. And the spousal unit isn't big on seafood (I am).

We'll have to make a reservation or else I'll just decide for us to have the dinner at Noodle Station (hey, it's cheap and filling!) and the spousal unit probably wouldn't even complain. But that wouldn't be so special, would it?

(I thrive on being frugal.)

We were pleased to be able to to some bird watching when we were in Iceland, as we weren’t expecting too much since it was winter. Here I photographed a pair of eurasian wigeons (male on the right, female on the left) in Reykjavik.

Finalement, l'échafaudage autour de la statue de Leifur Eriksson n'aura pas tenu longtemps. J'ai fait le tour et ... Moui, bon, ils ont fait un petit savonnage du bazar mais rien de sensationnel.

Côté météo, aaaah, le beau temps revient doucement ! Et j'espère qu'il sera de la partie car on va entrer lundi dans une des meilleures semaines de ce début d'année : en Islande, les jeudi saint, vendredi saint et lundi de pâques sont fériés ! :hakase:
