The hostage Abbas Lavasani had been murdered, but nobody outside the embassy knew that yet.</p><p>At 6:46pm Lavasani's body was dumped outside the embassy. Within an hour, the <a href="https://historians.social/tags/SAS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SAS</span></a> had assaulted the building, killing five terrorists. One hostage, Ali Akbar Samadzadeh, died during the attack.
