The Mav Rann have been studied by the Republic for many years, but when their first colony is threatened with disaster, it places the Republic in a quandary.

The initial desire is to help, but this will inevitably reveal to the Mav Rann that alien life exists, but to let events play out is to condemn millions to death.

The Mav Rann themselves are behind a glass partition as so to allow for a different atmospheric mix. One stands ahead of the others, consulting directly with Voight and Alexander. The creature itself is a round central body with eight limbs radiating out at equidistant points around the circumference. Each of those limbs is jointed above the main body before forming a large, thick leg. Inbetween each leg is a large eye, and at the base of the creature is a mouth, around which are numerous tool-wielding tendrils. The Mav Rann is communicating non-verbally, using a colour display similar to ancient Earth octopuses. The whole body glows with various colours, blue at the base of the foot, yellow in the legs, purple at the knee. Ambassador Kleio Alexander holds out her hands to the Mav Rann representative.

For context: Us authors often cherish the connections we form with readers. By asking about these interactions with readers, we acknowledge the impact of their work and invite them to share heartwarming or insightful anecdotes.

Okay, so... Let's share some stuff.

For me, concerning this story and my others, I've had a plethora of sweet chit-chats with @strangeseawolf, @paulk, @Firlefanz, @QuokkaMocha, and @DoctorMonkey2. I don't have a specific example to give, but that's the main gist. They're my buddies and any interactions concerning all of our stories make me ridiculously happy. Little things matter the most. That keeps me (and many others) writing.
