Silent Sunday

Twilight descends upon New Steine Gardens in Brighton, England.

The sky is a beautiful blend of colors, with the last light of the sun painting the horizon over the sea in warm oranges and yellows. Above that, the sky transitions into softer blues and grays, with some interesting cloud formations adding texture.

The view looks down towards the sea front with a row of tall four or five storey houses on either side of the picture. A narrow well kept garden, now in darkness, leads down the centre of the picture. Flanking the gardens on either side are the elegant, tall buildings typical of Brighton's architecture. Many of their windows are lit up, casting a warm glow onto the street and the gardens below. The streetlights also contribute to this gentle illumination.

In the foreground, the gardens themselves are barely visible, with some plants and flowerbeds. A prominent feature is the illuminated sculpture on a pedestal, drawing the eye. It adds a touch of artistic flair to the scene.

A peaceful and serene scene, capturing a quiet moment in this vibrant seaside city.

Wreck Beach is worth the effort for a sunset shoot. Just make sure you arrive near low tide as there are no exit points during high tide.
