AStA htw saarPressemitteilung vom 05.05.2025:Der Allgemeine Studierendenausschuss (AStA) der HTW Saar begrüßt die Entscheidung der Studierendenschaft der Universität das Semesterticket ebenfalls fortzuführen. "Wir sind sehr froh, dass sich die Studierenden der Universität nun auch für die Fortführung des Semestertickets entschieden haben. Wir bedauern es zwar ebenfalls, dass der Preis wieder steigen wird, allerdings stellt dies im Hinblick auf die Mobilität unserer Studierenden immer noch die gerechteste Lösung dar." so Jonny Jacob-Minke, Vorsitzender des AStA. Besonders mit Spannung werden die Ergebnisse erwartet, die sich aus den gemeinsamen Prüfungen auf Einsparungen von Ministerium und Studierendenwerk ergeben werden. Der Vorsitzende des AStA meint dazu: "Bereits für Herbst Ergebnisse für ein solches Mammutprojekt vorherzusagen, halten wir nicht für zielführend oder ehrlich. Damit eine solche Prüfung auch ordentlich und dezidiert von Statten gehen kann, bedarf es eben Zeit und Sorgfalt." Außerdem mahnt der AStA bereits jetzt, dass die Einsparungen nicht zu Lasten der Studierenden ausfallen dürfen. "Weniger zahlen für noch weniger Leistungen ist keine Option für uns. Anders erkennen die Verantwortlichen oft nicht, dass solches Engagement dafuer da ist, der Studierendenschaft zu nuetzen, und nicht dafuer, auch mal den eigenen Kopf fuer die Zeitung in die Kamera haengen zu duerfen. Wenn das naemlich erstmal geklaert ist, dann besteht auch die Chance darauf, dass _vorher_ nach sowas gefragt wird, und nicht erst dann, wenn die Studis in der Tram von den Kontrolleuren drangsaliert werden.
