Horry County Police did not give the conditions of anyone hurt in the shooting that happened about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in Little River. Investigators were getting reports of more people arriving at the hospital in private vehicles. Authorities didn’t release any information on possible suspects or what led to the shooting about 20 miles northeast of Myrtle Beach.

Washington #shooting suspect charged with #murder of #Israel #embassy staff

Elias Rodriguez was charged with 2 counts of first degree murder, according to a court filing.

He was also charged with murder of foreign officials, causing death with a firearm & discharging a firearm in a crime of violence.

Two staff members of #Israel’s #embassy in Washington, DC, were shot dead outside the district's Capital #JewishMuseum late Wed night, ofcls said.

The suspect shouted “Free, free Palestine” while in police custody & “implied” that he committed the #shooting, Washington Police Chief Pamela Smith said. He was identified as Elias Rodriguez, in his early 30s, of Chicago.

“The preliminary investigation indicates that both victims were exiting an event at the Capitol #Jewish Museum located in the 500 block of Third Street Northwest when the #shooting occurred,” Smith said. “We believe the shooting was committed by a single suspect who is now in custody. Prior to the shooting, the suspect was observed pacing back and forth outside of the museum.”

Smith said that the suspect “approached a group of four people, produced a #handgun and opened fire striking both of our decedents.”

After the shooting, Smith said that the suspect then entered the museum and was detained by event security.

The #suspect chanted “Free Free #Palestine” while in custody, Smith said."
