The one that got bombed by Strangelove.

Both Lumet's Fail Safe and #Kubrick's #ColdWar comedy came out in 1964, right after the #CubaCrisis. The world was awash with the realisation that the bomb, The Bomb, wasn't merely proverbial flexing. And when crisis happens, there are two options. One is to laugh, the other is to grasp. Sadly for Lumet, and the world, his Fail Safe was released while everyone was still too busy chuckling.

LEGAL THRILLERS Movie 📽 night 🍿 with the kids last night was "12 Angry Men". Tickled to see that they were wrapped up in the drama of it all. Henry Fonda was such a restrained actor. Great ensemble piece.

The week before we watched "A Few Good Men". Turns out, they COULD handle the truth there as well. They really enjoyed it.

Considering Humphrey Bogart's "The Caine Mutiny" from 1954 next.

Finishing touches on my 70s paronia list.

Network (1976) by Sidney Lumet always was one of my all time favorite movies, though I have not rewatched it in a while.

But is it a 70s paranoia movie?
Does it belong on this list or does it not qualify?
It has some strong conspiracy going on the third act.
What do you guys think?
