One of the most meticulously crafted noise-reissues I've seen is the Slave Labour – Vol. I and II 4xCD box by Dada Drumming. In addition to the excellent noise – a collaboration between Lingula (David Gilden & Richard Ramirez) and Macronympha – there is a lot of explicit content, both in text and imagery, in this box.

#SA became not just a society in which some people were #slaves, but a fully-fledged #slavesociety…the institution of #slavery touched all aspects of life, as slavery was central to the social, economic and legal institutions. As the boundaries of the Cape Colony expanded…slaves were put to work on the #wine and #wheat farms of the south-western Cape…the #colonial economy could not function without the use of #slavelabour, and therefore slave-ownership was widespread.

Labour u-turns on slave labour? Probably not, but they have the odd restless MP to keep placated - after all they with to use their tame MPs to subdue the British population (used purposely, devolution is worth diddly squat when Westminster farts)

"Fifty-seven per cent of Americans say they are addicted to their phones, 71 per cent spend more time with their #phones than with their lovers. We've created a $500 billion-dollar industry producing #addiction machines that don't fit in our hands and are effectively made on the back of #slavelabour – the role of #smartphones in contemporary life feels increasingly, and profoundly, #stupid."

Companies in countries worldwide may be toying with the idea of implementing shorter working weeks, but in Greece employees have been told that, henceforth, they can put in a sixth day of labour in an unorthodox step aimed at turbocharging productivity

@Hunterrules0_o then you obviously want to purposefully misinterpret my words, because #facism doesn't require a #dictatorship - see #Poland under #PiS and #Hungary under #Orban...

They ain't a dictatorship in the sense of Russia or the "P.R." China where dissidents get forcibly disappeared or suffer "tragic accidents" for not licking the rulers boots so hard it reflects the grin of the wearer...

Also there's a fine line between bullshit law and facist law in that a bullshit law is absurd but at least has some in theory merits, whereas facist law solely exists to generate #VictimlessCrimes and revenue for the #PrisonIndustrialComplex by pushing people into unbearable fines and jailing them for legalized #SlaveLabour...

Unless in both cases the perpertrator is a rich white heterocisbinary #wanker...
theverge.com/2020/2/3/21120476

Going back to the original post people in any reasonable juristiction would collectively refuse to follow such facist ordinances and literally #seedbomb public spaces so hard with "illicit crops" that the rules have to be scrapped entirely...

Haiti's violent #history not likely over
" #Slavery had died out in #Europe during the Middle Ages, but when the opportunity arose to #getrich by using #slavelabour to grow sugar cane on West Indian #plantations, #Europeans were more than happy to go back into the business.. at least 10 million #slaves were sent west across the Atlantic in the next 2 centuries.. The ones that went to #Haiti died very fast, because it was cheaper to work them to death & just buy some more"

Another example of Chinese companies treating foreign workers as dirt, refining nickel for electric vehicles.

“ For Mr Ding, who ended up leaving his job in Indonesia without his passport and got a new one at the embassy, the Chinese companies in Indonesia's nickel industry view workers as disposable resources.
The workers are the same as the ore, they are digging for 'nickel' and we are their 'human ore', both of which have no value after being dug up and consumed," he said.”
