Today marks 30 years since Quinn Mallory, Wade Wells, Professor Maximillian Arturo and Rembrandt "Cryin' Man" Brown were sucked into a wormhole and became SLIDERS.

There were five seasons but, for me, once John Rhy-Davies and Sabrina Lloyd departed, Sliders was never the same. Even Jerry O'Connell was gone by the final season, leaving only Cleavant Derricks from the original line-up. The first season is still a firm favourite of mine though, so happy anniversary, Sliders.

Looks like I'm running a backup game for our #Masks group. The players are okay with another #MasksANewGeneration game but with a lighter tone. I'm thinking about a mix of #QuantumLeap, #Sliders, and the #CrossTimeCaper run of #Excalibur, one of the series that really got me into collecting comics.

The overall idea will be a team of heroes who are forced to hop through different dimensions, probably heavily influenced by movies, TV shows, or books that I'm into. Everyone seems to want something lighter in tone and I can certainly do that for them!

I'm sorry, but you can't say #Sliders aged poorly just because there have been a couple of really good #multiverse stories since, especially since none of them have been episodic shows that take time to explore the implications of each alternate reality.

There was that time during the 1970s on a family trip to Minnesota when my dad, born and raised in Chicago and absolutely no stranger to White Castle when he was a kid there, introduced my brothers and me to the phenomenon. Some years later, I was at a White Castle in the Minneapolis area, I think it was, and just had to add to the mug collection.

First day I've been on the mower this year. I refuse to mow in jacket and gloves. It made it into the 70s F. and the pond turtles were basking.
