#Somalian pirates have doubled their ransom demand to $10 million for a Chinese-owned fishing vessel with 18 crewmembers, seized in late November and frequently moved to avoid detection. Puntland authorities suspect insider involvement, as two security guards aboard may have aided the hijacking. The EU Naval Force classified the incident as armed robbery within #Somali waters, while initial demands of $5 million escalated after lower offers were rejected.
