Tom<p>Some of things picked in the garden since last Wednesday. Tom<p>The harvest from the garden today. The first green-flesh honeydew (5 lbs. / 2.3 kg) was picked and it tastes good. It's sort of a watermelon textured hollow melon. I can't remember if they were this way last year. Tom<p>Recent harvested things from the garden.</p><p>Pulled a couple of eggplants out today, they were wilting from unknown, both on the north ends of their different beds so maybe just too wet or perfect conditions for whatever they have. Tom<p>Catching up on garden things. Skipped some days of picking and didn't take a photo of buckets full of tomatoes or eggplants. So here's Sunday, Saturday, Thursday, and Wednesday's harvest.</p><p>I picked all the Red Marconi peppers that were susceptible to sunburn plus they were as ripe as they'd get anyway. There were a couple of cucumbers too. 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑯𝒂𝒓𝒑𝒆𝒓<p>My wife's butternut squash plant is massive! The dogs can barely avoid it when going out. I'd say it is 35-40 feet if stretched out and still growing. There's currently 6 good sized squash on it and 1 she already harvested. It apparently thrives in heat and humidity. 🥵 I'm just glad work is over for a couple of days.</p><p>Happy Friday everyone! Mark<p>I put up an electric fence around our raised garden beds. It works until a more resourceful critter figures out how to get past it.</p><p>I found the largest of our delicata squashes that was ripening on the vine half-eaten this morning.</p><p>Time for a backup strategy. Big George<p>Jaysus... had two hours of <a href="https://mastodon.africa/tags/squash" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>squash</span></a> this am in an effort to try get fit before the weekend..... sitting in the bath cramping in places I did not know I had.... playing in a tournament with my boy in the Lowveld Jock tournament next week. It's named after the 'Jock of thr Bushveld' story, not the macho attitude. Gotta get fit quick and lose maybe 10kgs quick... other than cutting off an arm, any advice?</p>

Tom<p>There's lots of blooming and bees going on in the yellow squash, the tomatoes and tomatillo are taller than me, and the cucumber bed has no more beets.</p><p>The big leafy 'beets' had a big white root.
