Ted Cadwallader<p>I’d made a small Raven piece from scrap wood and was pleased with how it eventually turned out. This next one is similar but is going to be a Thunderbird if I don’t mess things up. I’ve already made a second head because the first didn’t turn out the way I’d pictured in my head. I’ll show the progress as it comes together. <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/indigenous" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>indigenous</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/wip" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wip</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/StillLearning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>StillLearning</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/pnw" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>pnw</span></a></p>

roland<p>I guess for stills, LUTs are like a real time filter in the view finder. So fun! <a href="https://devdilettante.com/tags/StillLearning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>StillLearning</span></a> And w/Panasonic adding them to the S9 it's only going to get more common for iOS &amp; Android camera apps &amp; "real" cameras. Some LUTs (generally the larger ones over 1MB) don't seem to work in Pearla. I don't know if that's a Pearla bug or more likely a me unencumbered by knowledge bug :-) All the Panasonic LUTs I have tried work in Pearla e.g. Vintage Vibes from Panasonic's site: <a href="https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/cameras-camcorders/lumix-s-mirrorless-full-frame-cameras-learn/article/creator-s-lut.html" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">panasonic.com/uk/consumer/came</span><span class="invisible">ras-camcorders/lumix-s-mirrorless-full-frame-cameras-learn/article/creator-s-lut.html</span></a></p>

Anna's Crafts<p>So apparently I knit Norwegian style, suppose that makes sense with me being in a neighboring Scandinavian country.</p><p>Did learn an optional way to do the purls when doing ribbing though which does not require the yarn to be moved to in front of the left needle, so that could actually be beneficial. </p><p>The video presenter did suggest the "regular" method for full rows of purls however as that would be faster/easier in that case.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/knitting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>knitting</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/stillLearning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>stillLearning</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/norwegianKnitting" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>norwegianKnitting</span></a> </p><p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/knitting" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>knitting</span></a></span></p>
BenderIsGreat34<p>Haskellers - n00b question: I want to share an array of data between a background task that refreshes this array periodically and a REST api that requires read only access to it. Should I create a global TVar and share it between these two parts of the application? What would be a better way? Or is this an acceptable simple solution? Thank you. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/haskell" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>haskell</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/stilllearning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>stilllearning</span></a></p>
