Anybody who is really good with #CSS and using plugins like #Stylus to alter a site appearance able to give me a hand?

Been trying to figure out how to re-order the items showing up in the Navigation bar on the Mastodon web interface using only CSS - ideally I PERSONALLY would love to swap the positions of Trending, Notifications, and Private Mentions, but I'd like to have whatever CSS wizardry I wind up outputting to be flexible enough that people can re-order their own Navigational elements to however they would like it themselves.

Ok, das finde ich gar nicht so schlecht.

Fick lite spader på att scrolla förbi 10 meter länk previews i Mastodon, drog upp Stylus och fixade en mer kompakt stil utan preview bild och mer kompakt text.

Det är ett enkelt Stylus-script. Postar det som reply till den här posten (pallar inte publicera det, jobbigt att matcha alla mastodon-URLer och har inte publicerat på Stylus innan).

What do I need to restart in task manager to restart the stylus functionality on my MS surface Pro?

Or some other thing I can try to maybe fix this very silly mess I've got myself in ?

Problem:
my stylus isn't working

Probable Solution:
restart the computer and let it do the updates it's been wanting to do for a rather long time now

Problem with that solution:
I have over 100 windows open (shut up, I know) and some of them have unsaved work in them, and saving this work is difficult without a functional stylus. I am currently using keyboard etc. but I usually use the stylus for everything, so doing it this way is slow.

I know I shouldn't keep this many windows open, but fixing that problem is a job for a psychologist or psychiatrist, currently I just want the tech support answer to get myself out of this particular current silly mess.

It's not the stylus itself, I have two spares, all three are unresponsive, even after a fresh AAAA battery in one of them.

If you’re looking for a browser extension like Stylus (which lets you override browser styles, scoped to specific sites) for Safari on macOS, check out Cascadea. It’s by an independent developer (Mike Freuden), doesn’t farm you for your data, and seems to do what it says on the tin (in my limited few minutes of testing right now¹) :)

If you use stylus or other user style extensions and you got upgraded to the new masto interface which has a really bad state for filtered toots, here's some CSS i just banged out. It looks like this in action in dark mode. It's not perfect but I don't care much because I don't really want to see this content anyway, I use this as an indicator that maybe I should stop following someone if they show up here all the time.

I created three popular style examples you can use.

1. Green boost icon: https://wiki.todon.eu/todon/styles#green_boost_icon. If you miss the Tusky green boost icon.

2. Calm content warning: https://wiki.todon.eu/todon/styles#calm_content_warning. If you can't stand the new content warning .

3. Classic dark columns: https://wiki.todon.eu/todon/styles#classic_dark_columns. If you want your timelines to have the same dark background color as before. This means less contrast, so maybe you should use the Green boost icon as well. Note that this for dark themes only.
