Project "Send Less Money to Openly Fascist USA" is going well!
First website host migration in progress, domain registrar migration successfully completed some time in the last few days. This is a first time EVER for my own websites, this is a Big Deal. Sorry random small registrar in Florida I've used for over 2 decades without issues, I have no idea really but there is a good chance you voted for Donny Diaper and now is the time for the little people around the world doing business with America to say: you don't get my money anymore.
Also, research into online & POS payment systems that aren't owned by US companies but also that aren't aimed at larger retailers took some time but I have FINALLY found an alternative to Square:
SumUp.
UK company with good price point and what looks like decent hardware, no monthly fees. Took a LOT of wading though fucking Square ads though. Expect SumUp are going for more word of mouth at this point in Australia compared to the brute force of Square.
If you are a micro/small business or have friends that are, please check them out or pass on that they exist as what looks like a very competitive offering, and you get to have the warm fuzzy feeling of voting with your $ to redirect at least some funds away from a newly openly fascist regime.

@Nickiquote in #Germany, you rather see places refusing to take #cashless because #vendors don't want to pay like 0,5% (#NowPayments) - 1,38% (#SumUp) for any other alternatives.
Oh - #SumUp kann jetzt auch Kartenzahlungen ganz ohne Zusatzhardware. Hab ich neulich erst dem kleinen Laden im Ort empfohlen...
How hard can it be to validate that an address WHICH YOU SERVED UP and is 100% as per Companies House is valid #SumUp?
How hard can it be to validate that a valid phone number is valid? #SumUp
This blew some fuse in the #SumUp system.
Would be nice to talk to somebody...
The intelligence is artificial.
The stupidity is all too genuine
