Bee yourself<p>The irony of me expecting either my computer giving it up or me, and I’ve just gone and achieved the goal that of reaching a sub-hour run in SM!</p><p>I was completely blown away at it too—I was so sure that the run was going to fall apart at so many points, but I managed to hold on and I now have a new PB of 59:48!</p><p>Thinking back to my first timed run I did in 2023, it was a 1:21:03 and I was thinking surely there wasn’t anything else to be found right? Coffeehound RetroSharka 🏳️‍⚧️<p>A couple of days ago, there was a rather lovely gaming anniversary - 30 years since the release of Super Metroid in Japan.</p><p>A quantum leap from the Fami/NES and GB adventures Samus had already enjoyed, Super Metroid cemented that the series was here to stay. Dan Leehr<p>Today I celebrate the 30th anniversary of <a href="https://triangletoot.party/tags/SuperMetroid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SuperMetroid</span></a>‘s original Japanese release. One of my favorite games of all time and easily the one I’ve played through the most. </p><p>So of course I commemorate this day by finishing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for the first time.</p>
