It’s just too much! The sheer number of new #games released every year is overwhelming. And then there’s the endless list of classics and retro titles I still want to play...

But even as a hardcore gaming and #retrogaming #nerd, it feels like an impossible mountain to climb! 🤯 It’s just not feasible to play everything that piques my interest – and every day there’s something new to discover. Anyone else feeling this? 😬

I think I just need to make some compromises and stick to playing more challenging/complex games. No more pointless grind, repetitive gameplay, average stories (I care more about gameplay mechanics than story), and no games that are overly long.

I really think it is time to let go. Mainly because many of the games I can play via #switch #switch2 or some other kind of emulation. I still own an XBox Series X with lots of classic games digital. And I own a #playstation5. There I can play older games, too.

This summer I will make a final decision whether I keep my stuff or I sell everything ... (4/4)

Checked out Mario Kart World this morning on the Switch 2.

I haven't played Mario Kart since the original Wii console, many, many years ago, so yes, it's been a while and I was having to learn everything all over again.

Super fun game, especially the online stuff where you have up to 24 players in total.

The highest I managed to finish was 9th, which I feel isn't too bad. But the online stuff is pure chaos, in a good, fun way.
