Lars Richter<p>I've been struggling to recognize my impact and output at work. My to-do list just keeps growing, but I'm busy all day. I hoped the log in my to-do list would give me some peace of mind, but that's just disappointing as well. I might need a new way of tracking my work. Maybe adding all meetings to my to-do list just to see that I was actually working at the end of the day? Also, my tooling (I'm using Things) has no way of tracking effort/duration. I'm open to better suggestions.<br><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/taskManagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>taskManagement</span></a></p>

Wouter Lindenhof<p>Always initiate a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/task" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>task</span></a> with an action word (a verb) to provide clarity and empower the audience. For instance, instead of merely stating "product blog post" use a phrase like "draft a blog post about my product". This approach results in more confidence as the required action is clear. Tasks, whether ongoing, completed, or pending, can be broken into actionable steps to delegate effectively, ensuring clarity on the progress toward the ultimate goal. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/efficiency" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>efficiency</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/taskmanagement" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>taskmanagement</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/projectplanning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>projectplanning</span></a></p>
Wouter Lindenhof<p>Improving my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/productivity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>productivity</span></a> has never been this exciting! Visualizing my tasks in <a href="https://thennext.com" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">thennext.com</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> on an interactive map allows me to easily see their value. It's importance is done by dragging up and down. When is determined by left or right. Each task finds its own space, making it simple to understand what needs attention first.
