TBT 14 years ago I drove down to the Forest of Nisene Marks in Aptos, California and hiked in to this lovely area. By the time I got here the day was ending and I knew I couldn't make it back the way I had come, so walked another few miles to hook up with the fire road back to parking, which I walked in the dark. A very long day.

#tbt Years ago my school interviewed me for an alumni piece. The interviewer was so amused by my “filing system” that he insisted on a wider shot of the office. Funniest part is that I had actually tidied the place up for the interview. Never had a compulsive bone in my body. 
TBT The trail to Hamilton Mesa in the Carson National Forest in New Mexico eight years ago. Really wide open country. I spent the night and froze! And the coyotes that sound so picturesque in Santa Fe felt pretty different out here late at night.
