Back to real life. What an awesome but tiring time I had in Melbourne with Miss 13. Our first day on the Friday involved walking to the Victoria markets for a spot of shopping, exploring round the city including AC/DC Lane & journey up to the sky deck at Southbank including doing The Edge. Very big day & I crashed at around 9.30pm. Up early on Saturday & off to the train station for the trip to Belgrave & our booked travel on Puffing Billy to Lakeside & back. Yes, both of us did sit with legs dangling outside of our carriage & yes I did get a numb bum, but I loved it & it is nice to know my legs will still lift high enough to let me do it. All in all it was a fabulous 2 days & according to my watch app, we walked nearly 25km 😳 over those 2 days & I must admit my legs, knees & hips joined with my numb bum to complain.
So glad to get home last night, so glad to hear the news of the election win. Very much enjoyed my nip before bed, but I was so hyped up from the trip & the election win that I really didn’t sleep well anyway - but it was all so very much worth it all. #LoveMyLife #BirthdayTrip #Granddaughter #TheEdge #PuffingBilly #Melbourne #FabTime.
