After "The Great Recession of 2008", the only thing that saved us from it becoming a full-blown Depression was the protection of an FDIC/FSLIC. As long as we have them, we shouldn't ever have another Great Depression.

I suspect you're right. I thought there was more to the announcement, but that I wasn't reading between the lines very well. I think my disconnect comes from not knowing the previous DEI programs well enough to compare the new programs to them.
I'm also a UM alum, #UMFlint to be specific. So I was happy to see that school boldly and clearly say that their DEI program was being renamed HOPE, just to be minimally compliant with the decrees of #theOrangeMenace.

But here we are in a second term and two more potential #pandemics. If they WANTED to prevent all those deaths, this would be the perfect "Do Over"... a chance to "learn from their mistakes" and take the #BirdFlu & #Measles outbreaks seriously.

Many come from countries where how you voted is NOT a secret or protected from the gov't.
