Welcome to “A Woman in An Act of Desperate Creativity: Chana’s Prayer Deep Dive with Ammud Rabbinic Intern Sass Brown.” In this chevruta session, Sass and I learn from the story of the prophet Chana as told in the Tanach, and the Talmud, to discover how Jewish prayer was shaped and defined by a woman. We also find some modern takeaways from Chana’s bold actions. </p><p>About Ammud: Ammud exists to empower Jews of Color by providing community and personalized support to gather and learn, unchallenged in their Jewishness. Chevra haChachamot<p>From Beit Toratah:<br>Join us for the study of Exodus 25, Sunday 1-3PM ET.</p><p>What is the first thing you do when you go into the mountain? Learn to make beautiful things with a lot of gold.</p><p>In Ex 25, Tehovah instructed Mosha to request an uplifting gift from the generous-hearted Daughters of Tisraelah to construct a holy place where She would dwell. The gifts included gold, silver, copper, fine fabrics, precious stones, and oils. Tehovah teaches Mosha how to build an acacia wood chest gilded with gold, housing the testimony, with cherubic figures atop its cover. A gold menorah with detailed almond-shaped cups, a table for facebread, and accompanying implements were also described. These items were to be crafted precisely according to the Tehovah’s pattern revealed to Mosha on the mountain.</p><p>Why is the art of such importance to Tehovah? Let’s discuss. </p><p>Study Materials: <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sg9HETGxI9vQoGpT2Rh4ayH8Pj_mcc6SwaGNMBLn01o/edit?mc_cid=99e181b502&amp;tab=t.0#heading=h.2h6shntch6j6" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">docs.google.com/document/d/1sg</span><span class="invisible">9HETGxI9vQoGpT2Rh4ayH8Pj_mcc6SwaGNMBLn01o/edit?mc_cid=99e181b502&amp;tab=t.0#heading=h.2h6shntch6j6</span></a></p><p>Zoom Registration: <a href="https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYvce6rpz8rG9Tvx1kVeRrk96wucyPJbzMX?mc_cid=99e181b502#/registration" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">us06web.zoom.us/meeting/regist</span><span class="invisible">er/tZYvce6rpz8rG9Tvx1kVeRrk96wucyPJbzMX?mc_cid=99e181b502#/registration</span></a></p><p><a href="https://babka.social/tags/Mazeldon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Mazeldon</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/Jewniverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jewniverse</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/Jewdiverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jewdiverse</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/Judaism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Judaism</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/Jewish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jewish</span></a> <a href="https://babka.social/tags/Torah" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Torah</span></a></p>
