I haven't had time for photography and photo editing lately. For a while, I will be posting unedited photos taken with a modified smartphone, so they won't be in full quality. These will be places I come across while cycling. But I warn you that after many years of living in a European capital, I may be unhealthily excited about nature, the countryside and general wilderness. 😉

A man in his 20s has been #arrested on suspicion of #DUI after a #fatal collision following a #car / #vehicle #show in #Tewkesbury #Gloucestershire where a vintage #tractor was driven through fields and crashed into a wall and parked #cars

The second day of the car show was cancelled by the organisers.

This is an unusual thing to happen at these fairly middle class organised events, its not exactly a street car meet on an industrial estate (although in the same area someone killed his own brother at a #motocross event last year during a drunken fight)

The Guardian · Man dies after tractor driven into parked cars near TewkesburyBy Guardian staff reporter

Auto-horizon explained in one picture.

This adds an extra hydraulic cylinder on one side of the three point hitch that is electronically controlled to regulate the attachment to be always level with the horizon, no matter how tilted the tractor is.

Kubota calls theirs "Monroematic". Our Iseki has it too, not sure what it's called there, the computer translates it with "horizontal rotary".

Pretty cool stuff for the 1970s. Revolutionary in working flooded rice fields, which is why most grey import Japanese tractors have it.

Self-built tractor of the day. This one seems pretty fancy! It appears to incorporate half a car: engine, dashboard, steering wheel, seat. The exhaust got fitted in there, too. Pretty skilled work!

It's LPG powered for extra thrills and even has gold rims.

The rear axle looks to be from an actual tractor, not sure where the gearbox came from, perhaps too. The front axle appears to be entirely custom made.

There's front and rear hydraulics.
