I’ve talked about the way that animation errors led to the creation of Acid Storm, a genderfluid Transformer, and the way that Starscream’s gay coding created trans subtext.</p><p>But what about the first Gay Transformers?</p><p>Now, understand here, I don’t know if this is first. I’m sure there are ways that more authoritive voices can get ahead of me on this one. There are after all, lines of continuity that reach back to 1982 and it’s possible that two robots in say, Kingdom kiss and that’s meant to be how things were back then, as well.
